Troubleshooting
Fix common problems with permissions, roles and commands.
1 min read
Most problems come from permissions or role order. Work through these in order.
Commands do not appear
- Re-invite the bot from the invite page so the
applications.commandsscope is granted. - Wait a minute and restart Discord.
- Check the command is not restricted to a role you do not have in the dashboard.
The bot cannot give or remove a role
The Discobi role must be above that role. Open Server Settings, then Roles and drag it higher. See Permissions explained.
A panel or message did not post
- Check the bot can View Channel, Send Messages and Embed Links in that channel.
- Look for a channel permission override that denies one of them.
- Publish again.
Moderation commands fail
- The bot needs Kick, Ban or Moderate Members as appropriate.
- The bot cannot act on a member whose top role is above its own.
- Make sure you are in a moderator role set in the dashboard.
Dashboard changes do not apply
Changes usually apply within seconds. If not, reload the dashboard and check the Health check for problems with channels or roles.
My server is missing from the dashboard
- You need Manage Server or Administrator.
- The bot must be in the server.
- Refresh your server list from the dashboard.
Pro features show as locked
Check the server's plan under billing. If you just paid by card, access follows the confirmation from the payment provider and can take a moment. Crypto unlocks only after the payment is fully confirmed.
