Automod
Spam, link, caps and banned word rules with escalating actions.
1 min read
Automod removes spam, unwanted links and banned words before people see them, and applies the punishment you choose.
Rules
| Rule | Catches |
|---|---|
| Spam | Repeated messages and message floods |
| Links | Links, with an allow list for trusted domains |
| Mentions | Mass mentions |
| Caps | Messages that are mostly capital letters |
| Banned words | Words and phrases from your list |
Create a rule
- Open Automod in the dashboard.
- Choose a rule type and turn it on.
- Choose the action: delete the message, warn, timeout or a mix.
- Add exempt roles and channels, for example your staff.
- Save changes.
Escalating actions
You can make repeated offences more serious, for example delete the message first, then warn, then timeout. Each step is recorded as a case.
