Getting started
Add Discobi and finish setup in five minutes.
Discobi is one bot for moderation, tickets, leveling, invites, analytics and more. This guide takes you from invite to a working server in about five minutes.
What you need
- A Discord account with the Manage Server permission in the server you want to add the bot to.
- A few minutes to review the permissions we ask for.
Add the bot
- Open the invite page and read the list of permissions and why each one is needed.
- Choose Continue to Discord and pick your server.
- Confirm the permissions and complete the verification Discord shows.
The bot joins right away and slash commands appear within a minute.
Sign in to the dashboard
Use Login in the site header. Sign in with Discord and your servers appear. Only servers where you have Manage Server or Administrator, and where the bot is present, can be managed.
Pick a template
When you open a server for the first time you can start from a template: Gaming, Trading and crypto, Web3, Ecommerce, Creator or Support. A template turns on a sensible set of modules and you can change everything afterwards. See Server templates.
Check that it works
Run /serverinfo in any channel the bot can see. If it replies, the bot can read and talk there.
Move the role up
Discord only lets a bot manage roles below its own. Open Server Settings, then Roles and drag the Discobi role above the roles it should give or remove, such as level rewards and autoroles.
Recommended first steps
- Turn on Moderation and choose a mod role.
- Pick log channels in Logging.
- Enable the join gate so new accounts are screened.
- Add a welcome message.
